Vatican Museums will amaze you with statues and objects that will recount of the ancient Greece and Rome but also Baroque and Renaissance arazzi together with frescoes and paintings, bas-relief and trompe l’Oeil. The Museum’s heart is Michelangelo genius’ masterwork: the Sistine Chapel. Still to come, St Peter’s Basilica the biggest church in the world, filled with artworks. Crossing Vatican City borders we will head towards St Angelo Castle. This massive castle was Popes’ fortresses and thanks to its strong defensive wall and its strategic position it withstood several attacks. From its roof terrace there is an uncommon town’s view. When visiting Rome suddenly the past becomes our present. You’ll discover Flavio’s amphitheatre – the Colosseum. It will recount its functionality, Romans engineers’ sharpness. Easily, you’ll feel the spectators excitement admiring gladiators’ battles. The Forum, the heart of Roman administrative and political power, will give you a real feeling of how live must have been in the ancient Rome. And then right to the top of the Palatine hill, where the Roman emperors lived and from where the breathtaking view will leave us once more astonished of Rome’s beauty.
