A Roman Tradition: the ring of the seven churches

Repeating an old pilgrimage of seven churches in one day, we will visit: St. John Lateran, Holy Cross in Jerusalem, St. Prassede, St. Mary Major, St. Peter in chains, St. Lorenzo and St. Paul.

A moving roman tradition would involve thousands of believers in this pilgrimage of the seven most important churches of Rome in one day. A ring tour which crossed the whole of town and that you can repeat to have a peculiar and complete tour of Rome. In fact, moving between the seven churches (St. John Lateran, Holy Cross in Jerusalem, St. Prassede, St. Mary Major, St. Peter in chains, St. Lorenzo and St. Paul) you can basically visit all of Rome from different perspectives and districts and compare the modern and the old town. All of the seven churches are amazing and through their differences you can read centuries of history and art live plenty of emotions. These churches tell the real essence of Rome as a Christian capital.
This one day tour will bring you in different part of town focusing on these seven churches: St. John Lateran the oldest roman Basilica; Holy Cross in Jerusalem built to preserve the Holy Cross relics; St. Prassede sparkling with mosaics; St. Mary Major the biggest church consecrated to Mary; St. Peter in chains where you will admire Michelangelo’s Moses; St. Lorenzo the result of the blending of two churches and St. Paul on Via Ostiense to remember the gestures of the apostle Paul.

Meeting Point Option 1

We requested 3 tours for our family of 7.  We specifically wanted something that was intimate and designed for just us- to have a personal experience where we would be submerged in the Roman culture and history, while at the same time having an open dialogue with the tour person.  All our tours were amazing and the experience was top notch.  I feel that we learned so much more having these personal tours than we would have using a large group tour company.  One member of our family had some limited physical abilities and both tour guides were very accommodating.  The experience will never be forgotten! Emanuele was extremely easy to work with on our bookings.  He was very responsive, professional and just downright a joy to work with all around!  Romebylocals exceeded all expectations!

Romebylocals has been an exceptional tour company organizing our Italian Family venture. We were a group of 12 people including kids and senior citizens and everything has been great and way more than expected. We really appreciate all the help Emanuele has given us at all times and really recommend this amazing tour company.
